Hello Everyone!
Last week we learnt three new sounds:
LONG /OO/
as in ZOO
SHORT /OO/
as in BOOK
and /Y/ as in YOGHURT
We also learnt about:
Tricky words are those words which cannot
be sounded out correctly using the Jolly Phonics sounds. We practised reading and writing them
correctly and we also used them in sentences.
The tricky Words we know so far are:
I –
THE – YOU – ARE.
We talked about farm animals. These are the
ones we know:
We also had two mock exams. One about PETS
and the other one about WILD ANIMALS.
Last but not least, we read “HEN’S PENS”
We practised drawing zigzags and we
decorated eggs just as Hen did in the story!
