Hello!

Hope you all had a lovely short week!

This week we finished our first group of sounds: /s/, /a/, /t/, /i/, /p/ and /n/. We worked on the jolly phonics booklet, we played with the active board and we sang along.

We are still revising colours, numbers and school objects. We worked on the booklet and we read a story called “We are all different”. We talked about accepting other people for who they are and that we are all special in our own way.

Next week is special as we are starting to read CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) words! We are going to start working with “Fat cat on a mat” so please make sure the book is here for next week.

Bye bye families!!

Hello and Welcome Autumn!

This week we listened to many stories! We watched “The three little pigs”. We assembled the mini book and we sang along “Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf.”

We also read the story “Maria goes to school”.  We played a memory game about the story and we practised colours and school objects.

We worked on Jolly Phonics and we played with the Active Board. We learnt two new sounds: /t/ and /i/. We sang the songs (You can find them in the Jolly Phonics page) and we worked on the jolly phonics booklet pages 6 to 9.

Today we had our first revision of numbers, colour, school objects and jolly phonics /s/ and /a/.

FAT CAT ON A MAT AND OTHER TALES will be our reading book. Next week we will start reading the stories.

Have a lovely long weekend! See you on Tuesday!

We had two short weeks but we have worked a lot. This is what we did:

We learnt to copy the date:

"Today is Friday 7th February.
Today is sunny."

We worked on fine motor skills on page 14 from the Jolly Phonics booklet and we wrote our name on the second page. We write in UPPERCASE. On the "Fine Motor Skills" page you can download and print worksheets for the children to practise.

We talked about classroom rules and how important they are in order to be happy.

We listened to two stories:

A TREE GROWS

We made two lovely drawings for the "I am Special Book". It's a special project that will be finished and handed out at the end of the year.

We revised colours. We worked on a photocopy and on pages 22, 23 and 24 from the booklet.

We revised CLASSROOM LANGUAGE such as:

"Can I go to the toilet, please?"
"Can I drink water, please?"
"Can you do my shoe laces, please?"
"I have finished!"
"Can I stand up, please?
